Predict a 15% increase in saffron harvest in Lorestan

Horticulture director of Lorestan Jihad Agricultural Organization said:
Last year, 1,100 kilograms of saffron were harvested from 380 hectares of farms in Lorestan,
and this year we predict that the harvest of this crop will increase by 15%.

Alireza Ahmadvand stated:
Last year, 380 hectares of saffron were planted in Lorestan, of which a total of 1100 kg of saffron was harvested.

He said that the average harvest of saffron per hectare of land in Lorestan is three kilograms, he added:
This crop is grown in Lorestan in June and September that the harvest time of that province lasts from late November to mid-December.

Horticulture director of Lorestan Agricultural Jihad Organization stated:
Aleshtar city has a record of planting 150 hectares of saffron in the province in this area.
Also, according to the results of reputable laboratories in the country,
the quality of Lorestan saffron is higher than Khorasan in terms of color, smell and taste.

Ahmadvand pointed out that due to the high price of saffron onions, good facilities are paid to farmers, and specified:
This year, according to forecasts, we expect the planting and harvesting rate of this crop to increase by 15% in the province.
