Planting saffron in Farsan city

Dehghan Shahrani said in a conversation with Fars correspondent in Shahr-e-Kord today: 26 hectares of Farsan lands are under cultivation of saffron, 20 hectares of which are dedicated to the cultivation of fertile products.

Director of Agricultural Jihad in Farsan, Saffron, said: “Beginning this year, after two irrigation runs, saffron harvesting will start and continue for two weeks.

Referring to the benefits of saffron cultivation and other medicinal herbs in Farsan, he said: “This year, the rate of harvesting of saffron from the farms of Farsan city, considering the average yield of 4 kg, is about 80 kg dry saffron.
