Iran is the most expensive spice in the world producing 300 tons of Iranian saffron

Deputy director of the Office of greenhouse herbs and mushrooms Ministry of Agriculture said Iran saffron the most expensive spice in the world’s most valuable agricultural product export history of our country.

According to Mehr News Agency , Majdzadeh Mitra said as saffron the most expensive spice in the world red gold of the most valuable agricultural product in the history of our exports has always had a special place and after our non-oil Pistachio The major export products.

Stating that all economic value added chain of this producing Iranian saffron ,Said currently Afghanistan’s saffron is one of the first five years if the saffron cultivation in Afghanistan was 300 kg.

According to the official in the ministry, annually about 250 tons of saffron production and area under cultivation in our country is 90 thousand hectares.
