Harvested 112 kg of saffron from 35 hectares
Ahmad Massoudi, in an interview with a Kerman journalist’s correspondent, added that for 35 saffron exploiters, 6 billion tomans have been earned.
He said: Considering the profitability and weather conditions and the need for watering for saffron, farmers have been well received from saffron cultivation and so far more than 50 hectares of Sirjan farming land have been allocated to saffron cultivation.
He announced the rate of employment for picking saffron in Sirjan for 37 months in a month, and stated: “The lack of suitable market and packaging and processing industries are the problems of Sirjan farmers.”
