Normalization of red gold (saffron) export process
The vice president of the Association of Saffron Producers and Exporters of South Khorasan announced the normalization of the saffron export process and said: The selling prices of this product in the world markets are still low.
Ali Hosseini stated: Despite the sanctions against Iran, saffron is one of the export products that has its normal trend and while its export process was slowed down a few months ago, it has now returned to its normal state and so far the decrease in saffron exports compared to the year We have not had a past.
He described the low selling price of saffron in world markets as the biggest export problem and said: Despite the increase in the exchange rate, the purchase price of saffron in world markets has decreased and Iranian traders trade this product at low prices and in rial prices in Dubai.
According to Hosseini, the selling price of saffron is 20 to 25 percent cheaper in terms of currency in world markets than last year.
The Vice President of the Association of Saffron Producers and Exporters of South Khorasan, referring to the dispersion of saffron sales rates in world markets, said: Currently, the average sale price of saffron per kilogram is 1,400 to 1,500 dollars.
A member of the board of the National Saffron Council pointed out: This year, more than 200 tons of saffron have been harvested from the provinces of South Khorasan and Khorasan Razavi.
