European greenhouse cultivation of saffron in Shirvan city
The governor of Shirvan said: for the first time in the country, greenhouse cultivation of European saffron is done in this city.
Amin Reza Merati, pointing out that it is planned to build two greenhouses with an area of 150 hectares in Shirvan city, added: “One of the investors, which belongs to the private sector, is going to set up a 50-hectare greenhouse where Saffron is cultivated.
He continued: Of course, since saffron cultivation is done at certain times, after the saffron cultivation is completed, other products will be produced.
Merati stated: The second greenhouse on the level of 100 hectares will be set up by one of the financial and credit companies in this city.
According to him, this greenhouse will be dedicated to the cultivation of medicinal plants.
The official clarified: At present, three billion tomans of credit must be spent to create each hectare of greenhouse.
He emphasized: the creation of these greenhouses, in addition to creating jobs in the city, will also incline Shirvani farmers to greenhouse cultivation.
