Beginning of saffron cultivation in 6 hectares of lands of Badreh city
The director of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi of city announced the beginning of saffron cultivation
in six hectares of agricultural lands of Badreh.
Heshmatollah Siahi stated:
Saffron cultivation has been flourishing in different areas of Ilam province for several years and this year saffron
cultivation has started in six hectares of agricultural lands in Badra.
He said:
the dry lands of the city are suitable for saffron cultivation according to the tests performed.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Badreh city added:
saffron onion cultivation is done in suitable fields from August to October and this onion can produce crops in suitable conditions for up to 10 years.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of city stated:
Due to the high added value in cultivating items such as saffron and pistachios,
development and support for the production of these two products in Badreh is underway.
Badreh is a city in Badreh city of Ilam province and 38 km west of Darhshahr city center.
This city is located in the east of Ilam province in a geographical position of 47 degrees east longitude and 33 degrees north latitude.
The highest point of this city is in the south of the city and a hill called Chektair is located in the north of the great heights of the mountain.
