There is no problem in exporting saffron to Khorasan Razavi

Director of Horticulture of Khorasan Razavi Agricultural Jihad Organization, referring to the proper export of saffron last year, said:
saffron export is done without any special problems.

Hashem Naghibi stated:
Most of Iran’s saffron is exported to the Persian Gulf countries, Central Asia, European countries, etc.

Regarding the amount of saffron exports last year, he said:
Last year, out of 218 tons of saffron, about 160 tons were exported to different countries and now there are no problems in exporting saffron.

The director of horticulture affairs of Khorasan Razavi Agricultural Jihad Organization further stated about the health standards
at the time of saffron harvest:
Agricultural Jihad has given the necessary trainings to the farmers in this field.

Pointing out that Khorasan Razavi is one of the centers of saffron production in the world,
he said that it is necessary to observe health issues in saffron harvest and continued:
the use of clean containers for harvesting and observing international and Iranian health standards has improved compared to last year.

The director of horticulture affairs of Khorasan Razavi Agricultural Jihad Organization pointed out:
The process of processing and packaging of saffron products is done in factories and an attempt
has been made to do this away from any contamination.

Regarding the reduction of saffron prices, he clarified:
the beginning of the harvest is associated with the days of mourning and for this reason it has started with a delay in the harvest.
