Saffron harvest from 9 hectares of agricultural fields in Qazvin
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Qazvin city said:
the saffron harvesting operation has started from 9 hectares of agricultural farms in this city in order to prepare saffron stigmas.
Abbas Alikhani announced the beginning of saffron harvest from 9 hectares of agricultural farms in Qazvin
and predicted that 16 kg of saffron stigmas would be harvested from this amount of cultivated area.
He pointed out that saffron is a small, perennial flowering plant and is one of the most valuable spices in the world. He said:
The medicinal properties of saffron are very effective in treating depression, diabetes, asthma and heart health.
Alikhani stated:
This city has suitable cold and mountainous climate conditions for cultivating this crop,
which is the highest area of saffron cultivation in Iqbal Lahori, Cohen and Tarom Sofla districts.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Qazvin city further said:
in order to support the cultivation of saffron and Mohammadi flowers in the form of nomadic rural facilities,
by the employment working group of this city.
Alikhani predicted:
Due to the welcome of consumers to cultivate this crop; In the coming years, the area under saffron cultivation in this city will double.
