Saffron cultivation increased from 1,200 hectares in Kerman province

The head of Kerman Agricultural Jihad announced the increase of saffron cultivation in province .

Abbas Saeedi stated:
One of the problems of Kerman is the cultivation of aquatic species, and in this regard, improving the cultivation pattern and eliminating
aquatic species is on the agenda, and in return, promoting the cultivation of economic crops that require less water is underway.

He specified:
Currently, the harvesting work of saffron farms in province has started and according to the studies, the quality of this product in province is desirable.

He continued:
Fortunately, due to the favorable harvest and yield in province , farmers have welcomed the cultivation of this crop.

He stated:
due to the severe reduction of water resources, should move towards improving the cultivation pattern,
and suitable facilities will be provided to farmers in this regard.

He considered Zarand, especially Khak plain, as one of the most important saffron-rich areas of Kerman province and stated:
saffron harvest will continue until the end of December in province .
