Planting saffron in 25 hectares of agricultural lands in Behshahr
The governor of Behshahr Kesht said that saffron was one
of the alternative crops in the upstream and mountainous areas of Behshahr. He said:
This product was cultivated considering all the risks and now it has reached a stage where it can hold the saffron
festival as the first village of Mazandaran.
This city in the east of Mazandaran, due to the inefficiency of cultivating traditional crops of the past,
has changed the cultivation pattern on the agenda and now many gardens and lands of black root trees, hazelnuts,
medicinal plants and saffron, in different rural parts of this fertile city And is a turning point for the economic development of the region.
Now, with the agenda of changing the cultivation pattern and institutionalizing alternative crops,
we are witnessing the holding of the first saffron festival in the village of Andrat in Behshahr in the Yanehsar
district as the saffron capital of Mazandaran;
the economic cycle has changed and we are witnessing economic development and high income generation in the region.
