Increasing the area of saffron cultivation in Neishabour to 4000 hectares

Neishabour Jihad-e-Agriculture Deputy Director and Director said:
This year, the area of ​​saffron cultivation in Neishabour city has increased from 3400 hectares to 4000 hectares.

Seyed Gholamreza Nabavi Namghi stated:
From this amount of saffron harvest, 3400 hectares are fertile and 600 hectares are infertile and young,
and it is often cultivated in the central areas, between the plains and Zabrkhan.

Namaghi also clarified in relation to employment in this field:
with direct and indirect employment of more than 800 thousand people a day, the gross income of farmers working in this sector is 459 billion rials.

He said that in the current crop year, we had special climatic conditions, reduced rainfall and extreme summer heat, adding:

Director of Neishabour Jihad-e-Agriculture said that the implementation of model projects and research on optimal planting methods
