Hossein Ardalani announced the beginning of saffron harvest from 5 hectares of agricultural lands in Damavand and said: Saffron is one of the non-oil materials whose export has a high potential and is almost unknown to the public.
Ardalani, pointing out that the harvest of this crop has started in 5 hectares of Damavand lands, said: the saffron harvest stage is the most laborious part of saffron cultivation.
He added: Due to the added value of cultivating this product and matching the requirements of the plant with the climate of Damavand city and the area under cultivation of this product in the city is gradually increasing.
