16 hectares of lands in Bahar city were allocated for saffron cultivation
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Bahar city said:

Abdolhossein Akbari Babian pointed out that the area under saffron cultivation in Bahar city reached 16 hectares during the current crop year,
with a 27.2% increase in the area under cultivation of this crop.
He said:
saffron cultivation due to the lower need of this product for water,
is considered by farmers in the region and every year the area under cultivation is developed.

Akbari announced the harvest of saffron in the last crop year as 41 kg and said:
Last year, 3 to 3.5 kg of dry saffron was collected per hectare, which is expected to increase this year.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Bahar city said that referring to the beginning of collecting flowers from the soil filled with saffron,
before sunrise by farmers, he said: flowering and harvesting of saffron will continue for about 20 to 25 days.
