Increasing the area under saffron cultivation in Sirjan city

The director of Jihad Agriculture of Sirjan city said:
with the planting of another 5 hectares of saffron in Sirjan, the amount of cultivation will increase by 20% compared to last year.

Ahmad Masoudi said:
with the planting of another five hectares of saffron in Sirjan, the planting area of ??saffron in this city reached 30 hectares.

He reminded:
Due to the good yield and fruit of saffron crop in the northern villages and Paris district of Sirjan,
this year another 5 hectares were planted with saffron by farmers in the region, which is 20% more than last year.

Masoudi added:
Due to the favorable climatic conditions for the growth of saffron and the cultivation of this crop in low water,
farmers welcomed the planting of the crop, which economic profitability has also encouraged them to plant saffron.

He stated: During the past month, 200 people were employed in saffron planting per day, and the harvest will start at 25 hectares from November 6 of this year.

Masoudi pointed out:
The harvest forecast for this crop this year is 90 kg, which was 60 kg last year.
