Beginning of saffron harvest from Torqroud lands of Natanz
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Natanz city said:
the operation of harvesting saffron from 100 hectares of lands of Torqroud of Natanz and its neighboring villages began.
Abdolreza Mehdibadi stated:
The saffron harvesting operation started from 100 hectares of lands in Torqroud Natanz and neighboring villages.
Mehdibadi, stating that it is predicted that 800 kilos of saffron will be harvested from 100 hectares of land, said:
8 kilograms of saffron will be harvested per hectare.
Referring to the problems of farmers in the field of saffron cultivation in the city, he said:
water shortage, reduction of world saffron prices,
lack of proper and standard packaging are the most important problems of farmers in the city.
The director of Natanz agricultural jihad stated:
the weakness of the packaging industry,
lack of proper packaging and bulk export of saffron has caused other European countries
to sell Iranian saffron with packaging and in the name of their country.
