Holding greenhouse saffron cultivation workshop in Mahabad

The attendants at this two-day workshop were all involved in planting, and they were trained to harvest saffron in an Irish greenhouse (air-culture) method in two practical and theoretical ways, Kohistan said.
He added that in this method, greenhouse saffron can be used for the cultivation of hermit eggs such as poultry, dairy farms, greenhouses and unlicensed halls, such as parking lots and roofs.
Mountainous, referring to the advantages of this method in comparison with the cultivation method on the ground, said that in this method, 600 pounds of saffron are cultivated per square meter and the amount of production is 20 to 60 grams of saffron, but in the field cultivation method, the number of onions is less than 80 per square meter and production is about 3 grams.
Mountains added: “The most important benefits of greenhouse and air crop cultivation are the use of maximum space and crop area due to its class size and high cultivation density, low cost, cost-effectiveness and efficiency in limited time.”
He added that in this type of cultivation, unlike other cultivating fields, saffron can be harvested daily and at any time of the day.
This workshop will be held March 14th and 15th in the conference hall of Islamic Azad University, Mahabad.
