Major exports of saffron are not made
Vice President of Saffron National Council in Conversation with Jam Online:
We do not export bulk saffron
While saffron bulk exports to Iran have always been criticized by critics, the vice president of the Saffron National Council believes that all saffron exported from Iran is all packaged and we do not have bulk exports.
We do not have a bulk export image of saffron
Gholamreza Mirie, vice president of the Saffron National Council, said in a conversation with the journal Jam Online: “We do not have bulk export, but all in packaging and packaging.” Specified weights are exported, for example, saffron is packed from 2-10 grams to 500 grams and we can not export more than 500 grams. In fact, saffron is not bulk, and no bulk was exported. Those who say they are bulk is the same package of 500 grams.
He added: “500 grams packages may be supplied after being exported to smaller packaging in the countries of origin, but the bulk of it is industrial, since it does not consume the saffron in our world, we have industrial consumption, in Europe According to them, they need 5 kg of saffron for each production line, so for the other uses, they do not buy a warm, two grams, and buy 500 grams packages. In the world of saffron we export, 20% is packaged and the rest is industrial consumption, which is 500 grams.
Miri said about the number of standard marks for saffron: there are about 53 standard marks in saffron, most of them in Mashhad. In general, saffron that has a standard mark of quality is required, even if they do not come as a brand of gems, and maybe some of them even have a higher quality than brands.
