Tayeb Ghadermarzi is one of the exploiters of red gold in the heart of saffron production in Kurdistan. He says:
I had no acquaintance with saffron production. And despite all the opposition from my family,
I practically started working in 2013 at the level of 2,000 square meters.
All the members of the family came to my feet. Many villagers did not believe in the fertility of saffron,
and this issue somehow caused us more stress.
In the beginning, I did not even allow a weed to grow in the soil.
Days passed, waiting for the first saffron flower to grow from the soil became harder every day.
It is no exaggeration to say that the best hour of my life was the day when the first saffron buds came out of the soil,
The first year was about 100 to 200 grams of total saffron production, which we all gave as gifts,
but after 1392 we did not buy any more seeds and used our first year seeds, while this year we also harvested 12 tons of seeds,
selling each kilogram. From 6 to 15 thousand tomans, we also earned income from this place.
Qader Marzi considered the need for low water and lack of space as the characteristics of saffron product and said:
I harvest two to three kilograms of saffron annually, the peak of which is the harvest time and it is about a month,
which is from the first to the end of November.
In the planting section, I do most of the work myself, but for the rest of the work we hire on an hourly basis.
Some days, 10 to 17 people work with us in the discussion of processing and cleaning saffron and receive a fee for the working
hours or the amount of harvest.
Qader Marzi says:
Kurdistan saffron is much better than the products of other places due to its mountainous
nature and the fact that the lands are above sea level.

but gradually the officials came to work seriously and paid us facilities to develop the work.

we are looking to eliminate the hands of brokers.

At present, our sales, apart from the domestic markets, are exported in the form of luggage to countries such as Britain, Germany, Sweden and northern Iraq, which fortunately, our export orders continue.
