Director of Agricultural Jihad, Nishabur, said: Saffron yield in this city increased by 3 kg and 500 g dry saffron per hectare per hectare, and a total of 21 tons of saffron was harvested.
Farahmand Rad said: Due to low precipitation in the fall and winter of last year, full irrigation by farmers, as well as severe summer heat, reduced the city’s yield and production. He noted that 3.8 tons of saffron were bought as a guarantee from farmers in the city and 100 percent of their claims were paid.
