Torbat Heydarieh, having 8,000 hectares of saffron, has the largest cultivar of this product in the country and is therefore known as the Iranian saffron capital.

This year, 33 tons of saffron were harvested from the level of the fields, which increased compared with last year.

Torbat Heydarieh has 12% of cultivated saffron in Khorasan Razavi, and the product is exported to 45 countries.

Now 15,000 households are engaged in saffron in the city of Torbat Heydarieh, and this product has directly generated employment for 70,000 people.
