The price of saffron onion varies between 4 to 6 thousand tomans on average, depending on the quality. Buying saffron onions from different people, even if it is really a saffron onion, causes disease and saffron tongue. These saffron growers may get results in the first years, but naturally they will face problems in the years of saffron profitability.

Noor Mohammadi added: Since 1392, when we started working as the official supporter of saffron, Zanjan province had only 6 to 7 hectares of saffron farms, which were also scattered and small farms. But currently about 70 hectares of land in the province are under cultivation of this red gold. Of course, we seek to increase production and, consequently, create more jobs, but unfortunately the conditions in the province are not as good as they should be, and the main reason is the lack of cheap and expensive facilities.
