Estimated 10% increase in saffron prices in Iranian Nowruz
Ali Hosseini, member of Saffron National Council, said that prices of saffron in the domestic market have risen in recent days, saying that the price of one kilogram of saffron grade 3 from 6 million to 6 million and 500 tomans and the highest quality of saffron has increased from 11 million tomans to 13 million tomans.
He added: New Norouz flights and rising demand are expected to increase the price of saffron by 10 percent.
Hosseini emphasized that the price of Iranian saffron in the world market has reached relative stability, the price of Iranian Iranian saffron in the world market was $ 700 to $ 1,100.
According to him, the global price of Iranian saffron is not good, but there is no way left to save it, because the price increase can open the field for competitors.
“Saffron is the most quality saffron in the world, and no country can compete with us in this regard, but the price is something that we are vulnerable to,” Hosseini said, referring to a dramatic improvement in saffron quality in Iran this year.
He added: “For a greater profit in Saffron’s global market, it is best to reduce production costs by improving efficiency and increasing production per unit area.”
This member of the National Council for Marketing, Marketing, Introduction of Iranian brands mentioned other measures needed to develop the Iranian saffron market.
Hosseini said: “It’s a pity that many people in the world do not know that the most important Iranian saffron is consumed.”
