In a conversation with ISNA, Hamideh Sadeghi, referring to the establishment of a saffron stock exchange in Khorasan Razavi, said: “Given the new stock of saffron in the form of a commodity deposit, farmers still do not have the exact benefits.
He continued: Among the benefits of entering saffron to stock exchanges, removing intermediaries, selling cash, the possibility of continuous and multiple sales without a move, using the bills of deposit as collateral of bank facilities, preventing farmers from suffering, keeping saffron in standard condition At the low cost and promotion of saffron brand in the country and the world and the possibility of direct international buyers in these deals.
Sadeghi stated that the deals were conducted at a one-month low of 7 kilograms by the Economic Brokerage Agency, saying that these deals were carried out by a handful of farmers in the supplier.
“The reason why certain exporters have been obstructed by the loss of their market share was that they were criticizing the possibility of selling saffron,” he said.
Sadeghi added to the benefits of this transaction style in the form of a stock exchange: including the benefits of commodity trading for ordinary users and consumers, the provision of bills to people and the provision of saffron at the farmer’s price at the stock exchange, which prevents price fluctuations. .
He said: Physical delivery of saffron from the warehouse is less than half a kilo.
Sadiqi emphasized: “Given these issues, efforts have been made to raise awareness and culture in order to form a positive mentality in the people and farmers, which will lead to more confidence building.”
“The talks with farmers and peoples’ unions, as well as holding conferences in this regard, are among the other steps that are being taken to further culturalization in this area,” the stock expert said.
